2021.12.09 02:11 epicmylife Are there ever small earthquakes in the Dallas area of Texas? Maybe oil drilling collapse?
I ask, because a couple of times now my apartment just shakes for 10-30 seconds for no reason. I live between DFW- it’s a two story building so more like a tall house, I don’t live near a subway or anything underground, no big trucks or a train driving by, and laundry isn’t in the unit so it’s not like an overloaded washing machine.
It gets so violent that I can hear my plant pots rattling on the windowsill and the only way I can describe it is like an earthquake. But I never see them reported by the USGS.

2021.12.09 02:11 Quickmawz Can I hunt for uncommon purified water?
when I click 'source', it says one of the available locations is Nefariox Ruins 2F. But when I check the map location and look at the available items, uncommon purified water is not one of them. Also, when I farm the area for an hour, I don't get any uncommon purified water item drops.
Is the 'source' information or the map location's available drop information incorrect? Is there any way to get purified water from farming monsters in the field without doing missions or buying from clan shop?

The Corona vaccination and the divide through our society
GERMAN Vorbemerkung: Ich bin geimpft.
Corona, Chaos, Fragen, Angst, Ideen, Antworten, Wege, Zusammenhalt, Trennungen, Möglichkeiten, Hindernisse, Erfolge, Niederlagen.
ENGLISH Preliminary note: I am vaccinated.
Sometimes I ask myself, what actually happened to us?
Corona, chaos, questions, fear, ideas, answers, ways, unity, separations, possibilities, barriers, successes, setbacks. Actually, everything as always, you might think.
Because we are doing as a society what we have always done. We come together, separate from each other, exchange ideas and discuss ways and solutions - so far, so good? Only to a certain extent.
We're at the crossroads of a natural event, taking different paths as we always have in human history - but now that's becoming a problem, especially in light of the debate about uniform solutions like vaccination.
And more and more of us are getting lost in bitterness and anger in that debate in the nerve-wracking waters of this pluralistic process. A pity, though all too human given the explosive nature of this situation.
But I think that in a moment of reflection, we can realize again, despite the dangerous situation, that there is actually no reason for anger, at least with a holistic view. For as Hannah Arendt once aptly described in her anthropology, the plurality of human beings is part of their given nature. In short: We humans are different.
And that is precisely what we should not overlook in our debate. For perhaps a healthy basis for solutions can only be built by remaining rationally aware of the given nature of the problem, or of our disunity as human beings, and thus continuing to shape the discourse with sober matter-of-factness, value-free openness, logical consideration, optimistic patience, and joy in the process, even if it costs strength and heart and not every actor in the debate seems capable of handling sophisticated logic and well-founded knowledge.
Because I think anger against this can only be the symptom of a utopian premise apart from that pluralistic nature of humankind and negates precisely our all-too-human differences as part of the process. In the long run, it is perhaps only a poor guide to the simplification of the human being and does not do justice to its complexity and thus to the situation.
So my appeal: more meaning to difference, more value to argument. We can do this.

2021.12.09 02:11 electropop999 Electric scooter recommended?
MTD is not good for moving within campus, too much wait time for the short trips. I am tired of walking to different buildings that are still far away. I am thinking of buying an electric scooter.
Any recommendation? Do they work well? Do they go up the hills on campus? Is it worth it?

I've been raving about Anchor Protocol to my friends and family for a while. But they all found it super hard to get a wallet and do all the steps to get those 20% returns. So, I decided to build https://www.trymedici.com/ .
I make it super easy for everyone to jump in and out of Anchor easily from Fiat. I'll be launching this soon in the US. Please share in your circles if someone asks you about Anchor. Thank you.

2021.12.09 02:11 PotentialAgile951 Dose anyone else feel like the only reason you try at stuff is because people specifically said you can't?
You see I'm in the process of getting my hiset right now. Because highschool didn't work out. But I'm not going to lie I honestly feel like the only reason I'm trying to get one is because people told me I couldn't. Because I'm autistic I was in special education and everyone said I was to stupid to to actually get a diploma. And I feel like in a way there judgement is a good thing. Because it push me to get a GED out of hate for them. Which I know I need one anyway but I'm mostly getting one to prove them wrong.

2021.12.09 02:11 zer0fecks Post op check in
Hi I haven’t checked in since my gastric bypass surgery on 10/28/21. I am 40 yr old female 5’5” SW 265 (2 weeks before surgery when I started liquid diet) CW 209.
Surgery went well. Was quite sore for first 2 weeks post op. My weight loss has been rapid and very exciting. My tummy is very sensitive still and I struggle to get enough calories and protein in most days. Because of that I am often low energy.
The most challenging part has been learning to eat slow, chew my food well, take small bites, and put fork down between bites. Taking small sips of water in between meals and finding foods I can tolerate have also been a learning process.
I have developed a strange habit of chewing food that is off limits and spitting it out for taste. Anyone else doing this?
Overall I am satisfied with my decision to get bypass and happy with results.
Please feel free to comment or ask me any questions. I will update with pictures soon.
